Perhaps big bad wolf isn't big and bad, but small and scared. Perhaps we just need a safe space to learn we don't need to be mean and scary to survive in a world like this.

Sometimes people are angry or dogs are reactive maybe because they were hurt. Often these parts of us are misunderstood, not malice. Finding a safe shelter allows us to be vulnerable to such feelings.

We are multi-faceted, we can be scared but also compassionate, we can be angry but also patient. Just like each of these animals, big or small, strong or meek, they represent the different traits in us, all essential to bring us to healing.
